Elaine Clark
Understanding the patterns that keep us stuck — and what helps us change.
The patterns we repeat are rarely random.
The way we think, feel, respond, and relate is shaped by what we’ve lived through — and by what our minds and bodies have learned to expect.
That’s why we can understand ourselves remarkably well and still find ourselves overthinking, shutting down, over-functioning, people-pleasing, bracing for the worst, or repeating relationship dynamics we know aren’t working.
Insight can explain a pattern. It doesn’t always change what happens when that pattern gets activated.
Because the patterns that shape us aren’t held in one place. They can show up in our thoughts and beliefs, in the body, in our emotional responses, and in the ways we connect with other people.
My work explores how these patterns form, why they persist, and what helps us begin to change them.
